Katherine Perkins Lewellyn

Katherine Perkins Lewellyn, age 88, widow of the late Red Lewellyn, passed away Friday afternoon, September 30, 2016 at West Hills Health and Rehab in Knoxville, TN. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the family receiving friends beginning at 12:00 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Sardis, MS. Katherine was born May 24, 1928 in Panola County, MS to the late Willie and Rosie Johnson Perkins. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Katherine is survived by three daughters, Mary Katherine Sayers of Athens, TN, Maxine Ryan of Knoxville, TN, Susan Brown of Knoxville, TN, son, Larry Lewellyn of Clarksdale, MS; two sisters, Virginia Perkins Thompson of Elkart, IN, Rosemary Perkins Beard of Batesville, MS; two brothers, Russell Perkins of Memphis, TN, Jimmy Perkins of Raleigh, MS; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-children.
