Thelma Jean Bolen Avant

Thelma Jean Bolen "Tiny" Avant, age 71, passed away Sunday morning, September 18, 2016 at her home near Batesville, MS. Funeral services for Ms. Avent will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2016 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Forrest Memorial Park. Mr. Hal Johnson will officiate the service. Thelma Jean was born August 20, 1945 to the late Hulet Aus Bolen and Katie Lorraine Whitten Bolen in Marks, MS. She was retired from Tri Lakes Medical Center where she worked in housekeeping. Those left behind to cherish her loving memory include her daughter; Patsy Lynn Bellar of Batesville, sister; Janie L. Peggy George of Pope, 2 grandchildren; Kenneth Hall and Katrina Hall, and 6 great grandchildren; Jacob Taylor, Shannon Taylor, Mason Taylor, Kaelyn Hall, Elexis Hall, and Eli Hall. In addition to her parents, Ms. Avent is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Earl Avent, 2 sisters; Mary Ann Little, and D. Elaine Putt, 1 brother; Bobby Bolen, and 1 great grandchild; Chelsey Taylor.
