Kenneth Dale Lawson

Kenneth Dale "Tree Man" Lawson passed away at his home in Batesville, on September 13, 2016. The family will hold a memorial service for Kenneth on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon prior to the service. Kenneth was born in Illinois on August 1, 1955 to the late Glen Morland Lawson and Doris Crow Edwards. Kenneth proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and attended church at Union West Baptist. Kenneth was a Tree Surgeon by trade. Kenneth enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed playing Corn Hole and watching LSU play football. Most of all, Kenneth found pleasure in his tree work. Those left behind to cherish his memory include 4 sisters; Glenda Tedford Hagood of Courtland, Debbie Lawson McAdams of Olive Branch, Julie Lawson Young of Oxford, Tamara Lawson Matthews of West Monroe, LA., and 3 brothers; Robert Malcolm Smith of Miani, Fl, Debert "Bubba" Smith of Water Valley, and Glen Lawson Jr. of West Monroe, LA.
