Maurice Beatty

Maurice Bradford Beatty of Hernando, MS, age 97 passed away September 7, 2016 at her home in Hernando, MS. She was the widow of Samuel Hartford Beatty and a former resident of Pope, MS and Tupelo, MS. She was a member of Longview Point Baptist Church in Hernando. Services will be held Friday, September 9, 2016 at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS with visitation from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. and a graveside service immediately following at Lambert Cemetery, Lambert, MS. Survivors include two daughters, Pat Keigley of Hernando, MS and Joan Hagood (Richard) of Guntown, MS and one son Hart Beatty, Jr. (Trish) of Houston, MS. Five grandchildren Michelle Pink (John) of Poughkeepsie, NY, Laura Boren (Ben) of Hernando, MS, Brian Hull (Anne) of Southaven, MS, Stephen Hull (Cathy) of Dallas, TX and Samuel Hartford Beatty III (Esther) of Houston, MS and two step-granddaughters Joey Murphy of Haughton, LA, and Jordan Morgan (Tyler) of Sturgis, MS and one step- grandson Josh Ernest (Jana) of Houston, MS. She leaves behind 16 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donation gifts can be made to the Baptist Children’s Village, P.O. Box 27 Clinton, MS 39060-0027.
