Samuel B. Vick, Jr.

Samuel B. Vick, Jr., age 96, passed away Saturday morning, August 6, 2016, at Landmark Nursing Home in Baton Rouge, LA. Mr. Vick is the widower of the late Janie E. Vick. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 11, 2016 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow in Forrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Sam was born April 21, 1920 in Panola County, MS to the late Samuel B. Vick, Sr. and Lois Monteith Vick. He was a retired industrial engineer and honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force in WW II. Sam is survived by his three daughters, Vivian Vick Lehman of Baton Rouge, LA; Diane Vick McMahan of Woodstock, GA, Janie Ruth Vick Gibbons of Tulsa, OK; three sisters, Lois Ann Roberts of Surprise, AZ, Willola Sullivant of Pope, MS, Jane Nicholas of Wichita Falls, TX; brother, Conner Vick of Pope, MS; 10 grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
