Bobbie Moore Scruggs

Bobbie Moore Scruggs, age 78, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 31, 2016 at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, MS. Ms. Scruggs is the widow of the late Bobby Gene Scruggs of Sardis, MS. Funeral services for Ms. Scruggs will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Union Baptist Church in Sardis, MS with interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 on Tuesday evening, August 2, 2016 at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville MS. Bobbie was born in Pope MS on April 11, 1938 to the late Chester Ray Moore and Catherine Brewer Moore. She along with her late husband, Bobby, were the owners of Bob's Bar-B-Que in Sardis. Bobbie enjoyed painting, gardening, and on her culinary side, she enjoyed cake decorating. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. Mrs. Scruggs is survived by her daughter, Debbie Scruggs Cornelison of Bartlett, TN; three sons, Roger Scruggs and wife Vicky of Sardis, MS, Doug Scruggs of Nesbit, MS, Jeff Scruggs of Southaven, MS. 2 sisters; Elizabeth Carter and Nancy O'Neal both of Sardis. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Brandy Arnold, Amanda LaMasters, Stephanie Boyett, Sarah Cornelison, Kindyl Scruggs, Levi Scruggs and Taylor Scruggs; six great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband Bobbby, Bobbie is preceded in death by 2 siblings; Ila Joy King and Robert "Sonny" Moore.
