James Hellums

Mr. James Hellums, age 86, passed away May 20, 2016 at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, TN. James was born November 19, 1929 in Booneville, MS to the late Lawrence G. Hellums and Irrie Lenora Hord Hellums. During his lifetime James worked as a truck driver. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Masons Marietta Lodge 0188 in Booneville, MS. Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife; Frances King Hellums of Pope, MS, 4 daughters; Carol Hellums McAdams of New Orleans, LA, Debbie Hellums Cota also of New Orleans, Jimmie Hellums Goodman of Houston, MS, and Shelia Hellums Hahn of New Orleans, one brother; William "Bill" Hellums of Booneville, MS, 6 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Hellums. The family will hold a private memorial service for Mr. Hellums.
