Dorothy Appleton Duke Ford, age 80, widow of Bobby Ray Ford and William "Bill" Duke, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 in Charleston, MS. Graveside service will be 4:00 O'clock P.M. Monday 4/25/16 at Forrest Memorial Park with the Reverend Clay Baker officiating. Wells Funeral Home of Batesville, MS in charge of arrangements. Dorothy was born November 19, 1935 to Ernest F. and Bessie Appleton. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church of Sardis, MS and was retired from Spring Industries of Sardis, MS. She leaves two Daughters; Ann Duke Walker of Walls, MS and Billie Duke Lawrence of Batesville, MS; two Sisters: Jewell Appleton McGehee of Sardis, MS and Laura Appleton Harden of Nesbit, MS; Brother: Macel Appleton of Sardis, MS; One Grandson William Kieley "Will" Lawrence and a Great-Grandson: Hoyt Lawrence. She is predeceased by Sisters: Corinne Scruggs, Martha Fowler & Irma Allen; Brothers: Bill Appleton & Ernest Appleton, Jr..
