Virginia Richardson

Virginia Richardson, age 83, passed away, April 14, 2016, in Memphis, TN. Funeral services for Mrs. Richardson will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends at 1:30 prior to the service. Interment will follow at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville. Virginia was born September 4, 1932 in Batesville, MS to the late Charlie Rodgers and Lucille Walls Rodgers. She was a homemaker during her lifetime and enjoyed shopping, cooking, bunko & Card Games. She volunteered for many local charities. Her children will always remember the way she made Christmas "Magical" for them. Virginia is a member of Goodwill Church of God. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her daughter; Wanda G. Durham and son-in-law Elton Durham of Cordova, TN., son; Ricky W. Richardson of North Dakota, sister; Ruth Waddell of Marks, MS., 6 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great-Granddaughter In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her husband; Travis Lee Richardson, son; Travis Lee Richardson, Jr., sister; Naomi Beaver.
