Mary Frances Collins

Mary Frances Collins, age 92, passed away April 6, 2016, at her home in Batesville, MS. She is the widow of William Ray Collins. Funeral services for Mrs. Collins will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2016 at Batesville First United Methodist Church with the family receiving friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at Pelahatchie Cemetery in Pelahatchie, MS at 4:00 p.m. on Friday as well. Reverend Ed Temple and Reverend Ed Woodall will officiate the church service. Mary Frances was born December 20, 1923 to the late Sylvester Derrick and Ruby Walker Derrick in Rankin County, MS. She was a homemaker and member of Batesville First United Methodist Church. Those left behind to cherish her precious memory include 3 daughters; Joyce Collins Casillas of Batesville, Frances Carol Evans of Sierra Vista, AZ., and Betty Furr of Gautier, 2 sisters; Ruby Nell Meadows of Mobile, AL., and Clara Harper of Homerville, GA., 11 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, and 9 Great Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Collins is preceded in death by 2 daughters; Sylvia Louise Collins, Ann Collins Scales, 2 sisters; Anne Ruth Harris and Myrtle Ella Prince, 4 brothers; Clarence Ray Derrick, William Edward Derrick, James Robert Derrick, and George Alvin Derrick.
