Harmon Glyntess Cox

Harmon Glyntess Cox, age 88, passed away Friday morning, March 11, 2016 at his home in Marks, MS. Funeral services for Mr. Cox will be held Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends at 2:00 prior to the service. Interment will follow at Forrest Memorial Park. Harmon was born November 4, 1927 to the late Dewitt Clinton Cox and Dora Lee Azlin Cox in Sumner MS. He was a member of West Marks Baptist Church. Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 67 years, Vonnie Lee Shelton Cox of Marks, three daughters, Glynda Cox Strait of Olive Branch, Anita Faye Cox Mayo (Wayne), and Carolyn Diane Cox both of Marks, one brother Paul Clinton Cox of Crowder. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cox is preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Cox, and Rachel Cox Leach, one brother William Cox, and one son, James Harmon Cox. The family ask for those wishing to make memorial contributions in Mr. Cox's honor to please do so to Southern Care Hospice, 104 Court St. Batesville, MS 38606.
