Ruth Francis Whitsitt Greenland

Ruth Whitsitt Greenland, age 95, passed away Friday, February 26, 2016, at Senatobia Convalescent Center in Senatobia, MS. Ms. Greenland is the widow of Fred H. "Ted" Greenland, Sr. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 29, 2016 at Coldwater First Baptist Church with a 2:00 P.M. committal service at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, TN. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Ms. Greenland was born November 26, 1920 in Memphis, TN to the late Howard A. and Lovie Harris Whitsitt. She was a homemaker and member of the Coldwater First Baptist Church in Coldwater, MS. Ms. Greenland is survived by her daughter, Lena Leotta Carpenter of Coldwater, MS; half-brother, David Whitsitt, Decaturville, TN; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Ms. Greenland was preceded in death by her son, Fred H. Greenland, Jr.
