Agnes Lorene Watson

Agnes Lorene Watson, age 85, of Pope, passed away February 15, 2016 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Funeral Services for Mrs. Watson will be held Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS. with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon prior to the service. Interment will be held at Lambert Cemetery. Dr. Bob Hill will officiate the service. Agnes was born October 10, 1930, one of 11 children, to the late Elbert Ray and Mittie Ray Boyette in Tutwiler, MS. Agnes was employed with Garan Manufacturing in Lambert MS during her lifetime and was a member of the Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS. Survivors include three children; Sheila Goza of Garvin, OK, Jeanette Perez of Mobile, AL, and Richard Watson of Pope, MS. siblings; Irene Bert of Locke Station, MS, Vonnie Johnson of Batesville, MS, David Boyette of Meridian, MS, Betty Tutor of Batesville, MS, and Tommy Boyette of Batesille, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Agnes is preceded in death by 5 siblings.
