Samuel Wayne "Sam" Tidwell, age 32, passed away early Sunday morning, February 14, 2016, in the Batesville, MS area.
A memorial service for Sam will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 12:00 noon in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Reverend Mark McNair will officiate the service.
Sam was born February 1, 1984 to Stephen Wayne Tidwell and Rolanda Leppic Tidwell in Oxford, MS. He proudly served his country in the National Guard and did a tour in Iraq. He graduated from the Camp Shelby Youth Challenge and went on to finish at Coahoma Community College in the Culinary Arts Program. He was employed as a Chef at Bacchus On The Square in Oxford, MS. Sam was a member of Mt. Olivet Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, those left behind to cherish his memory include his fiancé, Debbie Williams of Pope, MS, sisters; Jennifer Tidwell Chrestman (Lonnie) of Batesville MS, Connie Tidwell Spangler (Randy) of Pontotoc, MS. brother; Shelby Dean Tidwell (Angie) of Mayhew, MS., and a host of nieces and nephews.
