Charles "Buck" Stephens Holley

Charles S. "Buck" Holley, age 71, passed away Friday evening, February 12, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS. Funeral services for Mr. Holley will be held in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at 2:00 PM. Reverend Charles Lipe and Tim McMillen will officiate the services. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 PM until service time. Buck was born to the late George Levi and Earline McLendon Holley on December 29, 1944 in Panola County, Mississippi. He served his country in the National Guard. Mr. Charles was a 22 year employee of Heafner Motor's in Batesville. He enjoyed fishing, but above all loved making a sale and riding around the area with his friends. Buck was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Those who Mr. Holley leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife Linda Goodwin Holley of Batesville, MS; one daughter Cynthia Stiles (Jeff) of Ponotoc, MS; two sons Chuck Holley (Barbara) of Batesville, MS, and Timothy Hill (Sarah) of Oxford, MS; one brother George Holley of Senatobia, MS; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Buck was preceded in death by one brother Ronnie Holley.
