Harold W. Johnson

Mr. Harold Wayne Johnson, age 80, passed away late Saturday evening, January 09, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi in Oxford. Harold is husband to the late Lena Faye Johnson. There will be a memorial service held for Mr. Johnson at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Mt. Olivet Methodist Church in Batesville MS. Harold was born to Arthur Raymond & Bertha Lee Dillard Johnson on January 26, 1935, in Cross Plains, Texas. He honorably served his country during the Vietnam War as a Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp. Mr. Johnson was a member of Mt. Olivet Methodist Church. In life he enjoyed expanding his knowledge through reading, and was a retired Truck Driver & Security Officer. Those who Mr. Johnson leave behind to cherish his blessed memory include his two daughters, Loriann Cheatham of Knoxville, TN, Susan Anderson of Atlanta, GA; two sons, Brett Johnson of Hernando, MS, Jeffery W. Johnson of Water Valley, MS; one sister Wanda Roberts of Taylor, TX; eight grand children and two great grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, Harold was preceded in death by one son, Cary Johnson, and one sister Juanita Curl.
