Clara S. Runnels

Clara Dell Runnels, age 82, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She is the widow of the late Joseph Edward "Joe" Runnels. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 8, 2016 at Union Baptist Church in Sardis, MS with the family receiving friends two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment services will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Clara was born November 23, 1933 in Sardis, MS to the late Ed and Nina Mae Martin Smith. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. Clara was a beautician that owned and operated The Doll House in Sardis, MS for nearly fifty years. She will be remembered most by her family, which include, her three sons, Ricky Runnels (Vickie) of Batesville, MS, Randy Runnels of Batesville, MS, Ronnie Runnels (Cindy) of Batesville, MS; four sisters, Ruby Yarbrough of Water Valley, MS, Betty Westbrook of Oilve Branch, MS, Julia McMinn of Southaven, MS, Naomi Crocker of Senatobia, MS; brother, Billy Smith of Sardis, MS; nine grandchildren, Danielle Moore, Rayna Runnels, Candice Porter, Austin Runnels, Shawn Runnels, Rance Runnels, Colby Runnels, Jennifer Morrow, Heather Dalrymple, and twelve great-grandchildren.
