Olivia S. Aguilar

Olivia S. Aguilar, age 83, passed away January 1, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Aguilar at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Shelby, MS. Interment will follow at Shelby Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at Wells Funeral Home Sunday evening from 5:00 to 8:00. Olivia was born January 12, 1932 in Benavidez, TX to the late Daniel Soliz and Juanita Charles Soliz. Olivia was a homemaker during her lifetime and of the Catholic Faith. Those left behind to cherish her precious memory include two daughters; Susan A. Palacious (Joe) of Cleveland, MS, Lorensa Arreola (Albaro) of Gore Springs, MS, seven sons; Pedro Aguilar of Batesville, MS, Tomas Aguilar of Hernando, MS, Felipe Aguilar (Gladys) of Batesville, MS, Jesus Aguilar (Tatia) of Enid, MS, Porfirio Aguilar of Batesville, MS, Benedeto Aguilar of Batesville, MS, Masimo Aguilar (Patricia) of Batesville, MS, one step-son, Eligio Aguilar (Suzie) of Clarksdale, MS, son in law Chester Jacobs of Arizona, daughter in law, Minerva Aguilar, twenty-two grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Olivia was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Aguilar; two daughters, Nenfa "Vickie" Aguilar Jacobs, and Patricia Aguilar, and one son Christobal Aguilar.
