Dr. Otwon Kenneth "Ott" Watkins

Dr. Otwon "Ott" Watkins, age 85, passed away at his home in Sardis, MS, on December 24, 2015. "Ott" was born to the late Oliver Kenneth Watkins and Bena Evelyn Williams in Memphis, TN. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was of the Baptist Faith. He graduated Southside High School in Memphis and was a former police officer for the City of Memphis. He went on to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic Care in Iowa and was a practicing Chiropractor in San Diego, CA for 48 years before retiring to Sardis in 1995. He was an avid fisherman and golfer. Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Watkins of Sardis, daughter, Bena Watkins Monfee of Sardis, and sister Sharil Watkins Brown of Sardis, one grandchild and 1 great grandchild. In addition to his parents, "Ott" is preceded in death by one daughter, Kaye Watkins Mestemacher. The family will hold a private memorial service for Mr. Watkins at a later date.
