LaDonna Carol Brooks

LaDonna Carol Brooks, age 53, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Merit Healthcare in Batesville, MS. Born, LaDonna Carol Carver, to the late Verna Mae and William Glen Carver on May 27, 1962 in Greenwood, Mississippi, LaDonna was one of six children. During her life she was Chief of the Vaiden Fire & Police Departments and retired from dispatch at Carroll County EOC. She was a member of the Church of God in Greenwood. Survivors include her daughter, Jessica Mae Brooks of Batesville, MS; two sisters Linda Sue Jones and Alice Faye Haley both of Greenwood, MS; two brothers Albert Lee Carver of Black Hawk, MS and Carlton Lynn Carver of Madison, MS; and four grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one brother Douglas Glen Carver. In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial donations be sent in Ms. Brooks's honor to the Town of Vaiden Children's Park and Nature Trail or to the Vaiden Fire Department. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
