Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday 4/2/09 at Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Matt Brady of Carriage Hills Baptist Church of Southaven, MS officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery Water Valley, MS. Mr. Mixon was born August 17, 1926 in Panola County Mississippi to Sidney and Sally Hubbard Mixon. Harold was retired from Illinois Central Railroad. He was a veteran of WWII serving his country in the U.S. Navy. Harold was a member of the Carriage Hills Baptist Church of Southaven, MS. He leaves his wife Catherine Hubbard Germany Mixon of Southaven, MS; two daughters: Sandra Mixon- Southaven, MS; Linda Mixon Campbell- Knoxville, Tn.; step-son, Benny Germany - Pope, MS; two brothers: Gerald Mixon- Southaven, MS and Bennett Mixon- Oxford, MS; 6 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Wednesday 4/1/09 at Wells Funeral Home.
