Susan Lynn Sanders

Susan Lynn Sanders, age 68, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. She is the widow of the late, Kenneth R. Sanders. Funeral services for Susan will be held Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Heights Presbyterian Church in Cordova, TN with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Committal will be held at 2:00 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Sardis, MS. Susan was born March 6, 1947 to the late Thomas Ward Payne and Mary Kathryn Forsythe Payne in Memphis, TN. She attended Treadwell High School and went on to obtain a B.A. and M.A. in Art History from the University of Memphis. She was a member of Highpoint Church in Memphis. She enjoyed many activities in life, some of those include crafts, bird watching, reading, collecting art, working with children, bible study and gardening. She was an excellent baker and loved to cook for her family. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her daughters; Heather Lynne Davis of Collierville, TN, Ladye Joanna Sanders Lemmon (Andrew) of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Margaret Elisabeth Sanders Smith (Christopher) of Memphis, TN, son; John Baskin Sanders of Oxford, MS her sister; Mary Ann Cole (Steve) of Memphis, TN, grandsons; Michael Thomas Lemmon, Henry Andrew Lemmon, Harris Isaac Smith.
