Mary A. Pelts

Mary A. Pelts, age 71, passed away November 5, 2015 at Merit Health in Batesville, MS. She is the widow of Raymond Pelts. Services for Mrs. Pelts will be held Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends at 1:00 prior to the service. Interment will follow at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville. Mary was born January 16, 1941 to the late George Washington White and Tishie Smith White in Arkansas. Mary was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed sewing and quilting. Those left behind to cherish her precious memory include her 3 sons; Bob Pelts of Enid, MS, Paul Pelts of Batesville, MS, and Michael Pelts of Hattiesburg, MS, 3 sisters; Shirley White McCoy of Smithville, MS, Doris White Kanski of South Carolina, and Dixie White Davison of Winter Springs, FL, one brother; Johnny White of Oakland, MS, 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary is preceded in death by her son Charles Pelts, 3 sisters; Ruby White Powers, Nettie Louise (Jane) White McCollumn, Myriel (Lil) White Phillips, and 2 brothers, Donald White Sr., and George White Jr.
