Robert "Bobby" L. Hill

Robert L. "Bobby" Hill, age 81, passed away Sunday morning, October 25, 2015 at his home in Pope, MS. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Pope, MS with interment to follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until service time Thursday at the church also. Bobby was born November 3, 1933 in Little Rock, AR to the late Frank Monroe and Jennie Lou Gill Hill. He was a faithful and dedicated member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church were he served as deacon. Bobby retired from M.D.O.T. and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. Bobby leaves behind his wife, Dorothy Manning Hill of Pope, MS; daughter, Jo Wanda Hill Hubbard of Courtland, MS; two sons, Ronnie Hill of Pope, MS, Gerald Griffis of Pope, MS; three brothers, Wayne Hill and Tom Hill both of Pope, MS, Charles Hill of Lincoln Park, MI; sister, Jenniveve Thrasher of Jacksonville, AR; ten grandchildren, and six step-grandchildren. Bobby was preceded in death by one son, Charlie G. Hill.
