John L. Rodgers

John L. Rodgers, age 74, passed away Friday evening, October 2, 2015 at his home in Batesville, MS. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Monday, October 5, 2015 at Locke Station Baptist Church with interment to follow in Marks Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. John was born October 31, 1940 in Lambert, MS to the late Lonnie W. and Clytee Griffin Rodgers. He was a retired supervisor for M.D.O.T. after 35 years of service, and was also a farmer. When John wasn't working, one could usually find him working in his shop. John was a faithful member of Locke Station Baptist Church. His loving memory will continue live through the ones he loved most; wife, Bobbie Jean Wimberly Rodgers of Batesville, MS; son, Shea Rodgers of Marks, MS; sister, Brenda Tallant of Grenada, MS; brother, Bobby Joe Rodgers of Batesville, MS, and his four grandchildren.
