Ruby Lee Herring

July 30, 1935 — September 27, 2015

Ruby Lee Herring, age 80, passed away Sunday evening, September 27, 2015 at her daughters home near Courtland, MS. She is the widow of Roy Kenneth Herring. Funeral services for Ms. Herring will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening at Wells Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00. Reverend Raymond Aven and Reverend James Strange will officiate the service. Ruby Lee was born July 30, 1935 to the late Grover Cleveland Bradley and Nanny Mae Lewallen Bradley in Crenshaw, MS. Ruby retired from Walmart where she worked as a sales associate. She was a member of New Hope Church of God in Batesville. Ruby Lee enjoyed many things in life. Her family always came first followed by Church. She loved camping and working in her yard and of course her beloved grandchildren. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her daughters; Tina Watts (Tony) of Pope, Miranda Citrone of Batesville, and someone so close to her that she considered her to be her own daughter, Teresa Bradley of Batesville, Son-in law, Mike Griffin, Siblings; Grover Bradley of Courtland, Willie Mae Moore of Oakland, and Gladys Wells (James) of Senatobia, MS, 4 Grandchildren; Kenneth Pearson (Corrie), Brad Griffin, Brittney Cooper (Justin), and Matthew Griffin, 3 Great Grandchildren; Eli Carlisle, Gabe Carlisle and Charlie Pearson. In addition to her parents and husband, Ruby Lee was preceded in death by one daughter, Melinda Gayle Griffin, and 3 siblings; Howard Bradley, James Bradley, and Myrtle Ruth Crouch.
