Judy O'Neal Hales

Ms. Judy O'Neal Hales, age 72, passed away, September 3, 2015, at Quitman County Hospital in Marks, Mississippi. Funeral services for Ms. Hales will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Hollywood Baptist Church in Sledge, MS. The family will receive friends at 2:00 prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Longtown Cemetery in Crenshaw MS. Reverend Roy Hartzell will officiate the service. Judy was born April 14, 1943 in Quitman County, MS to Harl O'Neal and the late Mabel Aldison O'Neal. During her lifetime she was a school teacher for 25 years in the Quitman County School District and member of Hollywood Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, going to church, and spending time with her beloved family and friends. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her son, Roy Russell "Rusty" Hales II of Sledge MS, her father, Harl O'Neal of Sledge, MS, brother, Jimmy Hal O'Neal of Jayess, MS, Niece, Shannon O'Neal Lipscomb of Como, MS, and 3 nephews, Trey O'Neal of West Point, GA, Jason O'Neal of Crystal Springs, MS, and Tyler O'Neal of Mendenhall, MS. In addition to her mother, Judy was preceded in death by one brother Harl O'Neal, Jr. The family asked for those wishing to send memorial contributions in Judys' name to please do so to Hollywood Baptist Church, 2020 Wadlington Rd.
