Cliffie Mae Bright

Cliffie Mae Bright, age 76, passed away September 1, 2015 at her home in Courtland, MS. Mrs. Bright is the widow of the late Charles L. Bright. Funeral services for Mrs. Bright will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville MS. The family will receive friends at 12 noon prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Terza United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Clay Baker will officiate the service. Cliffie was born February 1, 1939 to the late Jim Shepard and Lillie Turner Shepard in Coffeville, MS. Cliffie was a member of the Angel Adult Center. Survivors include 7 daughters, Mary Nelson (Randy) of Water Valley, MS, Betty Johnson of Minneapolis, MN, Martha Bland (Louis) of Sledge, MS, Patricia Bright of Courtland, MS, Cathy Bright of Crowder, MS, Shelia Turner and the late Ralph Turner of Courtland, Barbara Winter (Shane) of Batesville, MS; 2 sons, Terry and Danny Bright of Courtland, MS; and 3 sisters, Jewel Christine Johnson of Courtland, MS, Ruby Dean Sullivant of Sardis, MS, and Vivian Lee Hawkins of Water Valley, MS, 20 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband Charles, she was preceded in death by one brother Carl Griffis of Batesville MS.
