J.C. Shields

Mr. J.C. Shields, age 70, passed away this morning, September 1, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi in Oxford, MS. He is the husband of Sandra Shields of Sardis, MS. Funeral services for Mr. Shields will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 Thursday evening at Wells. Interment will follow the service at Cold Springs Cemetery. Reverend Gary Stevens will officiate. J.C. was born June 10, 1945 tot he late Alvin Shields and Lena Augusta Potts Shields in Panola County MS. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Shields of Sardis, MS; two sons, John Shields of Effingham, IL, and Matthew Shields of Ecru, MS; four sisters, Mary Ann Kuehl of Crystal Lake, IL, Joyce Brown of Sardis, MS, Michelle Shields and Kathy Melton both of Batesville, MS; five brothers, Harvey Shields of Trenton, TN, James Robert Shields of Paris, TN, and Ricky, Terry, and Leslie Shields all of Batesville, MS, and 5 Grandchildren.
