Ramona Knower Davis

Ramona "Mona" Knower Davis, age 80, passed away August 26, 2015 at her home in Batesville, MS. The family will hold a memorial service for Mrs. Davis Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Batesville MS. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the Church. Reverend Ed Temple will officiate. Mona was born May 6, 1935 to the late Franklin Haywood Knower and Ramona Cowgill Knower in Minneapolis, MN. During her lifetime she worked for the State of Ohio and Highlights for Children in Columbus, OH. She eventually retired from Ohio State University Ticket Office after 25 years. Mona was a lifetime member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority at Ohio State. Mona was a member of Northwest United Methodist Church in Upper Arlington, OH for 40 years. She was a member of Batesville Women's Club and Garden Club, Explorers Bible Study and volunteered for the Church and Merea Ministry. Her favorite pastime was cheering on her Buckeyes from Ohio State, that she loved so dearly. Those left behind to cherish her memory include 3 daughters; Diane A. Barrentine (Jarrod) of Coila, MS, Debbie D. Fillhart (Mike) of Hernando, Dee Dee A. Fife (John) of Tucson, AZ, one son; Richard A. "Rick" Davis of Batesville, MS, one brother; Franklin H. Knower, Jr. of Tappan, NY, 3 nephews, 8 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren and her beloved dog Mandy.
