James A. Bay

James A. Bay, age 86, passed away Friday morning, August 21, 2015, at Baptist Hospital North Mississippi in Oxford. James is the widower of the late Clemmie Mason Bay of Batesville, Mississippi. Funeral services for Mr. Bay will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2015, at 4:00 PM in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Batesville, MS. Reverend Tim McMillen will officiate the services. James was born to the late Virgil Augusta Bay and Leona Perkins in Yale, Oklahoma. Mr. Bay was a factory worker and member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in the Batesville community. Those left behind to cherish Mr. Bay's memory include his two daughters, Glenda Deaton of Pope, MS, Cathy Bailey of Sardis, MS; one son, Mike Bay of Batesville, MS; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Mr. Bay was preceded in death by two sisters, Jewel Bay Miles of Batesville, MS, and Virgie Bay Scruggs of Sardis, MS.
