Jimmy Leodus Boyette, age 77, passed away Monday morning, August 17, 2015 at his home in Pope, MS. Mr. Boyette is the husband of Geneva Lee Boyette. Funeral services for Mr. Boyette will be held Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 at Wells in Batesville MS. Interment will follow at Forrest Memorial Park. Jimmy was born November 12, 1937 to the late Jimmy Newton Boyette and Mittie Mae Stacey Boyette in Tutwiler, MS. He was a farmer and small engine repairman and of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Geneva Lee Boyette of Pope, MS, 3 daughters, Deborah B. Patton (Leon) of Oakland, MS, Rita B. Locke (Larry) of Oakland, MS, Jimmie Faye Boyette of Pope, MS, 4 sons, Randy Wayne Boyette of Crowder, MS, Scotty Newton Boyette (Zenda) of Oakland, MS, Ronald Ray Boyette of Tunica, MS, Donald Clay Boyette (Kim) of Tunica, MS 4 sisters, Vonnie B. Johnson of Batesville, MS, Betty B. Tutor of Batesville, MS, Irene B. Burt of Locke Station, MS, Agnes B. Watson of Water Valley, MS, 2 brothers, David Boyette of Meridian, MS. and Terry Boyette of Batesville, MS., 31 Grandchildren and 27 Great-Grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Dale Boyette, one sister, Connie Ruth Boyette, and 3 brothers Ernest Ray, Gene Ray, and Jessie Boyette.
