Morris E. Clayton

Morris E. “Buddy” Clayton, age 69, of Montgomery, IL died peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born January 12, 1946 in Sardis, MS the son of the late Louis Frank and Ruthie Mae nee Wilson Clayton. Morris was employed as a machinist at Anchor Brush Co. in Montgomery, IL and at Anchor Tech Center in Naperville, IL until his retirement in 1994. Morris is survived by his wife Barbara J. nee Cheney Clayton, a son Scott (Kate) Clayton of Chicago, IL, two grandsons Skyler Clayton-King of Poplar Grove, IL and Zachery Clayton of Aurora, IL, four sisters Mattie Lou Gray of Memphis, TN, Verlie Mae Cline of Fresno, CA, Marcella Wilson of Kettering, OH, Diane Beckham of Corinth, MS, a brother Wayland (Shirley) Clayton of Corinth, MS, also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers Otha and Frank Clayton. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 Douglas Road Oswego, IL. Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 10:00 to 12:00 Noon at the Wells Funeral Home 340 Hwy 35N Batesville, MS. Graveside service will take place at Peach Creek Cemetery in Sardis, MS.
