Charlene Tutor Womble

Charlene Tutor Womble age 78, died Monday morning 7/20/2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North Mississippi in Oxford, MS. Mrs. Womble is the widow of Joseph Edward Womble. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 22, 2015, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Mrs. Womble was born October 7, 1936 in Pontotoc County, MS to the late Fielder Daniel and Mary McGregor Tutor. She was a retired L.P.N. and member of West Marks Baptist Church. Charlene loved music and especially playing the piano. After a long and continued battle with M.S., she still was able to play the piano. Mrs. Womble is survived by her three sons, Rickie Womble of Marks, MS, Tom Womble of Batesville, MS, Tony Womble of Charleston, MS; seven grandchildren, Paul Grayson Womble, Heather Rogers, Corey Womble, Thomas Womble, Mary Ruth Womble, Paige Womble, Ben Womble; and six great-grandchildren. Other than her late husband and parents, Mrs. Womble was preceded in death by her son, Danny Womble, and a sister, Margie Tutor Sledge.
