John T. Nelms, Sr.

John T. Nelms, Sr., age 88, died Saturday morning 7/18/15 at the Vaiden Community Living Center in Vaiden, MS. The family of Mr. Nelms will be having a private family graveside service. John was born October 1, 1926 in Carroll County, MS to the late Lester Rickman and Elizabeth Wall Nelms. He owned and operated Nelms T.V. and Appliances for nearly twenty years in Greenwood, MS. During his spare time, Mr. Nelms enjoyed camping and traveling. John is survived by his two daughters, Sallie N. Ellis of Vaiden, MS, Deborah E. Woods of Greenwood, MS; five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Other than his parents, John was preceded in death by a son, John Thomas Nelms, Jr.
