Sheila Ann Barber

Sheila Ann Barber, age 82, of Nashville, TN., passed away July 4, 2015 at the Alive Hospice Center in Nashville. She is the widow of George D. Barber. Prior to Mr. Barber's passing the couple had been married for 60 years. Mrs. Barber was born May 25, 1933 in Glenside, PA to the late Peter Allen Grindrod and Eleanor Russett Grindrod. She was a resident of Oxford, MS for 43 years where she was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her five children. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her four children; Gary Barber of Bolivar, TN, Scott Barber of London, England, Sherri Brown of Calhoun City, MS, and Kimberlee Gumucio of Smyrna, TN, one sister; Brenda Hill of Jim Thorpe, PA. 13 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Sheila was preceded in death by one son, David George Barber. A memorial service for Mrs. Barber will be held at a later date.
