Maritza Elsner, age 74, passed away Sunday evening, June 7, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS. There will be a memorial service held for Mrs. Elsner Friday, June 12, 2015 at 10:45 at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Memphis, TN, where she will be laid to rest by her husband Kenneth E. Elsner. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday evening at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Maritza Marcelina Hernández Rodríguez de Elsner was born May 25, 1941 in the small town of Santa Fé, Panamá to the late Román Hernández and María Cruz Rodríguez de Hernández. Martiza and Kenneth E. Elsner were married on July 22, 1966 in Colón, Panamá. During her lifetime she worked in the binding department for R.R. Donnelley for 20 years in Wheeling, IL. She loved people and assisted many immigrants in gaining citizenship to the U.S. Survivors include 3 daughters; Rosemaria Moore (Steve) of Batesville, MS, Anabell Elsner Davis (Daniel) of Memphis, TN, and Jessica Elsner Nawracaj of Hinsdale, IL, 3 sons; Francisco Rodriguez Hernandez (Christina) of Colón, Panamá, Jeffery W. Elsner (Cindy) of Tupelo, MS, and James M. Elsner (Danielle) of Mountain Grove, MO, Grandchildren; Danielle Elsner-Gray (Demetrius) of Memphis, TN, Marcus Brown (Larenda) of Earl, AR, Abner Turner, Jr. (Alicia) of Cordova, TN, Kenneth Turner of Memphis, TN, Sean Turner of Cordova, TN, Matthew Brown of Oxford MS, Jeffrey Hammond of MS, Justin Hammond of CO. Julianna Nawracaj and Nicholas Nawracaj of Hinsdale IL, Bianca and Autumn Elsner of Mountain Grove, MO, and Cole and Preston Sanderson of Shannon, MS, Nelson Marco Francisco of Colón, Panamá, Anabell Francisco of Colón, Panamá; Great Grandchildren; Deshéa, Demetrius, D'maya and Dominique Gray, Kameron, Ariana and Jerry Turner, Elisha and Shyrn Dunn, Elaijha Brown and Hali Hammond, Ana Ortega Rodriguez, Javier Ortega Rodriguez.
