Fernando W. Loden, III

Mr. Fernando W. "Woody" Loden, III, 80, went be with his Lord Tuesday Morning, January 20, 2009 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Batesville Church of Christ. Visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 23, 2009 at Wells Funeral Home from 5-8p.m. And again on Saturday prior to the service at the church from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Entombment will be at Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville. Mr. Loden was the former owner Loden Oil Company and also a Real Estate Developer. He served his country during the Korean War with the United States Army Medical Corp. Mr. Loden was an active member at the Batesville Church of Christ. He was born on September 16, 1928 in Sledge, Mississippi to Valeria Sorrells & Fernando W. Loden, Jr. Mr. Loden leaves his wife Patsy Daniel Loden of Batesville, MS; one daughter Lisa Loden Castleberry and husband Mark of Jackson, TN: one son Woody Loden, IV and wife Crystal of Edmond, OK;and 4 Grandchildren. The family requests memorials be sent to either Freed-Hardeman University 158 East Main Street, Henderson, TN 38340 or Sardis Lake Christian Camp P.O. Box 349, Batesville, MS 38606. Dr. Joe Wiley, Dr. Milton Sewell, Mr. Malcomb Parsley, Mr. Michael Bates & Mr. Robert Rawson will be officiating the funeral service. Freed Hardeman University Choir will present choral selections during the funeral service.
