Video Memorial Tribute Thoughtfully Produced By: Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services Lynn Jones McCullar, 61, passed away at her home on Sunday January 11, 2009. Funeral service are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville, MS. with interment to follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Dr. Robert S. Self and Reverend Pat Ludlam will be officiating. Lynn was born March 11, 1947 in Panola County, MS to William T. and Virginia Herring Jones. She was an active member in many civic organizations and local media in Batesville and Drew, MS and was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Batesville, MS. Lynn was a career school teacher who was actively involved with interior decorating for local events. She gave all of herself to everyone she came in contact with through the years. The final years of her life, she spent living in Batesville and restoring her childhood home, Lynnwood, as a living testament to her family's history and for her friends and family to enjoy. She spent much of her time at Lynnwood reflecting and entertaining loved ones. Lynn poured the entirety of her enormous heart into everything and everyone around her. On Sunday, January 11th, 2009, after years of medical issues, Lynn's health succombed to a culmination of medical issues. Although her medical issues overtook her health, they were unable to extinguish her heart. Lynn is survived by her son, Major James S. "Trip" McCullar and wife Janan of Monterey, CA. and her "Sister" Pat Miller. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home.
