Theresa "Sissy" Ruth Moore

Mrs. Theresa "Sissy" Ruth Moore, age 67, passed away Saturday morning, April 18, 2015, at her home in Batesville, MS. Ms. Theresa is the wife of Tommy Moore of Batesville. Funeral services for Mrs. Moore will be held Monday, April 20, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Adam Lenard will be presiding. Interment will follow the service at Forrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday morning beginning at 11:00 AM until service time. Theresa was born October 19, 1947 to the late Jewel E. White Helmes and Lois Helmes in Lambert, Mississippi. She was married on December 18, 1964 to Mr. Tommy Moore. During her life she enjoyed cooking, especially baking, taking care of her home, and most important was caring for her family. She was a member of the River of Life Assembly of God in Batesville. Those she will leave behind to cherish her memory include her husband of 51 years, Tommy Moore of Batesville, MS, two daughters; Tammy Moore of Batesville, MS; Chesley Moore of Holly Springs, MS, one son; Scott Moore of Batesville, MS, one sister; Dorothy Roberson of New Albany, MS, four brothers; Billy Helmes, Bobby Helmes, Jimmy Helmes, and Tony Helmes all of Batesville, MS, five grandchildren; Dustan Clark, Misty Clark, Kayla Clark Pruett, Tanner Atkinson, and Allyssa Atkinson, and eight great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret "Bit" Sides and Ginger Gray.
