Curtis W. Rogers, Jr. age 48, of Batesville, MS, passed away April 7, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Desoto in Southaven, MS. Funeral arrangements for Mr. Rogers will be held Saturday, April 11th 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Church of God in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. Curtis was born May 24, 1966 in Shelby, MS to the late Curtis W. Rogers and Edwina Reynolds Rogers. He was a carpenter by trade. Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife Alisha Irby Rogers of Charleston, MS, one step-daughter; Bethany Gentry Adams of Charleston, MS, 2 step-sons; Derrick Gentry of Charleston, MS, and Bradley Gentry of Horn Lake, MS, 2 sisters; Jo Rogers Fellows of Batesville, MS, and Debrah L. Collier of Cleveland, MS, one brother; Erin Ray Vaughn of Smithville, TN. In addition to his parents, Curtis is preceded in death by one sister, Bobbie Showers.
