Robert Taft Renfro

Robert Taft Renfro, age 71, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Sutter Amador Hospital in Jackson, CA. The funeral service for Mr. Renfro will be held Friday, April 10th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS. Robert was born August 31, 1943 in Panola County MS to the late Jesse Lee Renfro and Evelyn Moore Renfro. He grew up in Crowder but finished high school at Batesville, MS, where he made many life-long friends. He attended Northwest Community College transferred to The University of Mississippi. While at Ole Miss he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He graduated from Ole Miss with a degree in Education in 1965. All of his life he followed his Rebels in all sports and achievements. Robert went on to work for Evans Products and Weyhouser for 25 years before returning to his beloved Mississippi and founding Bogie's Deli. Upon retirement he moved to Sutter Creek, California. He is survived by his 2 sons; Robert Taft Renfro Jr. and Maurice Jeffery Renfro, 3 grandchildren; Alexis Renfro, Walker Renfro, and Harvest Renfro; two sisters, Annette Renfro Clark and Betty Renfro Vaughn. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contribution in Roberts name be made to any cancer organization or charity of your choice.
