Linda Joyce Lewis Burks

Mrs. Linda Burks passed away late Tuesday evening, March 31, 2015, at Tri-Lakes Hospital in Batesville, MS. Linda is the wife of Roy Burks of Sardis, MS. Funeral services for Mrs. Burks will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 at Wells Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Marks Cemetery in Marks, MS. Reverend Michael Ragan will officiate the service. Linda was born June 19, 1950 to the late Hazel B. Laster Lewis and Clarence Junior Lewis in Arkansas. She was a member of Evening Time Lighthouse Church in Courtland, MS. Her loving memory will be cherished by her husband Roy Burks of Sardis, MS; her daughter, LaRhonda Ragan of Courtland, MS; 3 sons, Terry Dillard of Sardis, MS, Steven Dillard of Sardis, MS, and Roy Burks, Jr. of Water Valley, MS; one sister, Tina Lewis of Pontotoc, MS; 2 brothers, Richard Laster of England, AR, and Brian Lewis of Saltillo, MS; 19 Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Shirley Lewis and Lucy Self; one daughter Lawanda Burks; and one brother David Lewis
