Bessie Christine Simons Flemmons

Bessie Christine Simons Flemmons, age 84, passed away Sunday evening, March 22, 2015, at her home in the Batesville area. Funeral services will be held at Wells Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 25, 2014, at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday evening, March 24. 2015. Ms. Flemmons was born ,October 26, 1930, in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, to George M. and Johnnie Mae Moorman Simons. She was a homemaker and restauranteur. Bessie was a faithful member of the Church of God. Those who she leaves behind to cherish her memory include her two children, Mary Alice Caine and husband Rickey of Marks, Mississippi and George A. Sullivan and wife Emma of Batesville, Mississippi; 6 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grandchildren; and two Great Great-Grandchildren. Ms. Flemmons was preceded in death not only by her parents, but also her husband's, the late Glenn A. Sullivan and A.B. Flemmons; three sisters, Sadie Mae Houston, Lillie Mae Simmons, Betty Lucille Ross; and two brothers George Robert Simmons, and John Robert Simmons.
