Thomas Asa Cook, age 91, passed away March 14, 2015 at Tri-Lakes West Campus in Batesville, MS.
Tom was born in Wheatley AR. on February 12, 1924 to the late John Cyril Cook Sr. and Lula May Clifton Cook. Tom began his career working for Ford Motor Co. in Memphis, TN. He transferred with the company to plants in Lorraine, Ohio, and Wayne and Dearborn, Michigan. He became Supervisor of Product Cost Accounting and worked as Supervisor of General Accounting. Tom retired from Ford in Michigan and moved to Hot Springs Village, AR. in 1990.
Survivors include his long-time companion Betty Place, now of Batesville, MS.; a number of nieces and nephews, including Bob Haltom (wife Margaret) his care-givers in Batesville MS.; and his step-daughter, Rebecca Whelan of Little Rock, AR.
The family will be hold a private ceremony in Arkansas celebrating Tom's life at a later date.
