Dorothy Anderson

Dorothy Anderson, age 75, passed away today, March 12, 2015 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. She is the wife of Morris Anderson of Batesville, MS. Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Anderson will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Batesville, MS. Father Sam Messina will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening the 17th of March from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS. Dorothy was born August 13, 1939 to the late Jimmy Jose and Mary Harrison Shull Jose in Clarksdale, MS. During her life, Dorothy worked as the Executive Secretary for Lipscomb and Pitts Insurance Agency in Memphis TN. for 27 years. In her leisure time she enjoyed traveling, reading books, the beauty of flowers and gardening. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Morris Edwin Anderson of Batesville MS, 2 daughters; Kelly Wilson and Melissa Anderson both of Batesville MS, 1 son; Joel Anderson of Laurel, MS, 2 brothers; Wayne Jose of Benton KY, and Frank Jose of Greensboro, N.C., 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
