Evelyn Epps

Ms. Evelyn Epps, age 95, passed away early Wednesday morning, February 25, 2015, at Sardis Nursing Home in Sardis, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Dr. Tommy Snyder and Reverend Charles Lipe will officiate the service. Ms. Epps was born June 28, 1919 to the late Samuel Edward Epps and Jennie Duke Epps in Panola County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Evelyn was a retired Missionary and member of the American Mission Board. Her loving memory will be cherished by her sister; Jewel Epps Harwood of Batesville, MS, 2 brothers; Byron R. Epps of Cookville, TN and Clifford W. Epps of Horn Lake, MS, one sister-in-law Eva Epps of Houston, TX, and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Epps was preceded in death by 3 sisters; Ella Ruth Epps Young, Mildred Baird Boston, and Maxine Epps Dowd, 2 brothers; William Edward Epps and James David Epps, 4 nephews; William Young, Timothy Young, Michael Epps, and Daniel Epps. The family request that memorials in Ms. Epps honor be sent to Missions Fund at the Church of your choice.
