Macie Long Simpson

Macie Long Simpson, age 81, passed away Friday morning, February 13, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 16, 2015, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Committal services will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery in Vicksburg, MS on Tuesday morning, February 17, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. Dr. Tommy Snyder will be officiating both services. Ms. Simpson is the widow of the Maurice Franklin Simpson. She was born July 7, 1933 in Calhoun County, MS to the late Hubert and Maudie Hodge Long. Ms. Simpson was an administrative secretary and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Batesville, MS. She is survived by her brother, Hubert Long, Jr. and wife Peggy G. of Heber Springs, AR; two nieces, Sabrina Long Roberts and husband Doug of Lewisville, TX, Lisa Long Allbright and husband Joe of Bentonville, AR.
