Charles D. Taylor, Sr.

Charles Doyle Taylor Sr., age 82, passed away at Baptist Hospital in Southaven, Tuesday, February 10, 2015. He is the husband of Ella V. Taylor of Senatobia MS. A celebration of life for Mr. Taylor will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church in Como. The family will receive friends at 9:30 prior to the service. Charles was born October 16, 1932 to Charles A. and Lois Taylor. He is survived by his wife Ella V. Taylor, one son Charles D. Taylor Jr. and wife Stacy; one stepson George Gully Sr. and one stepdaughter Veazey Krausnick; and one sister Lynn Caveness; 8 Grandchildren, Mary K. Taylor, Alexandra Taylor, Charles Taylor, III, Emilee Taylor, George Gully, Jr., Elizabeth Krausnick Malmo, Carl Krausnick III, and Edwin Gully. He graduated from Delta State with a Masters Degree from Mississippi State University. He was a cryptographer during the Korean War. He will be remembered for his 30 years as an administrator and coach at Coldwater School. He was a Real Estate Broker for 50 years.
