Myrtle E. Lauderdale, age 97 and widow of the late James Ivy Lauderdale, passed away Sunday morning, November 30, 2008 at Sardis Nursing Home in Sardis, Ms.
Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens in Clarksdale, Ms. Mr. Hal Johnson, Mr. Robert Rawson and Mr. Michael Bates will be officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon Tuesday before the service at Wells Funeral Home.
Ms. Lauderdale was born December 18, 1910 in Lafayette County, Ms. to the late Grover C. and Annie White. She was retired from the Wonder Bread Bakery in Clarksdale, Ms. and was a faithful member of Batesville Church of Christ.
Besides her husband, Ms. Lauderdale was preceded in death by one son, Ken Lauderdale of Jackson, Ms. She is survived by three sons, Jimmy Lauderdale and wife Donna of Clarksdale, Ms.; Scott Lauderdale and wife Matsy of Sardis, Ms.; and Donald Lauderdale and wife Helen of Livingston, Al. Also she leaves her Daughter-in-Law Kay Lauderdale of Jackson, Ms. along with 12 Grandchildren, 24 Great-Grandchildren and her sister, Valley Terry of Kalamazoo, Mi.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial be sent to Sardis Lake Christian Camp.
